More brown paper bottle sketches. This is a nice beer I found recently, La Fin du Monde. It’s Canadian – Québecois in fact – and is a ‘triple’ beer. Triples are pretty potent, very tasty, but you gotta watch out. I used to drink Triple type beers when I lived in Belgium (Westmalle Triple to be precise) and ooh, you have fun nights with those. I really like the label on this bottle as well.
Santé!

I’m salivating already…. friends have remarked how my journals are littered with images of beer bottles, carafes, bottles and glasses of wine…. I don’t think that I’m influenced by Morandi . . . . more by alcohol…… drawing and alcohol seem inextricably interwwined…..
‘Although I have read a lot, I have drunk even more. I have written much less than the majority of people who write, but I have drunk more than the majority of people who drink.” — Guy Debord,
Cheers!!
inextricably interwined is about right! It’s why i like pub sketching. Though after a certain point, the sketches get messy…
You only need to look at my ‘avatar’ (or ‘picture’ as I prefer to call it….) to see I agree with you. . . that was taken in Bratislava…. in ‘The Slovak Pub’….no misunderstanding there ‘it did what it said on the label’… great food and fantastic Slovakian beer at less than I euro for a big ‘un . .YES!!
The foil on the bottle’s neck is fantastic. It is playing tricks with my eyes – it’s shiny! You have outdone yourself with this one!
cheers Alex!
