bye bye tree

last view of the tree, till next year

It’s January 6th, so time to take down the tree, and put away the decorations! This is our little tree we got for our first Xmas in America, and we still have it. The ornaments, mostly my wife’s, go back years; some are older than I am, I think. The corner will look so bare without the tree, even though only half the lights were working on it (I never got around to changing them!). Oh well, it really is a new year now.

Pete—Sadly, it’s been far too long since my last visit. You’ve been cranking out some beautiful drawings, and as always, some equally interesting descriptions. I love the way in which you are able to bring your reader with you into the drawing experience.

I also took down our tree this week. And like in your house, there is a bare spot in it’s place. Too bad Valentine’s doesn’t have it’s own tree!

Hi Pete, haven’t visited your blog for a while – can’t think why. It’s all good, I’ve added you to my list of sketching heros and following you on twitter just to remind me to come back more often.

suzanne: cheers! i might start putting christmas lights up around the house in all the bare spots, make it more cheerful.
    woody: thanks for coming by!
