That’s me there, on the front page of the local paper. That’s my double-jointed thumb, too.
The Davis Enterprise published a feature about me and my local sketches today in their new online edition (you probably won’t be able to read that after today, unless you subscribe to the paper), saying that i ‘save the world every day’ (referring to that ‘how to save the world’ thing I did). Quite funny, really. I’ve no idea what I was going on about; I said Davis was flat as a pancake (well, it is). There’s something about Levi Leipheimer and Lance Armstrong to the left there. And look beneath: rain! It really does rain in Davis!
not at all what i expected you to look like. and yet, in some ways, exactly how i’d expected you to look.
ohhhh, there’s the front page…all I had to do was click over here from Facebook. What a great photo of you and your sketchbook. Perfect! Next step the NY Times….might as well skip the S.F.Chronicle since I heard today it was about to go under. Scary times…good we have our sketchbooks!
How fun! Congrats on the recognition Pete. Davis is being made aware of what we’ve known for a while, you do great sketching!
cheers! it’s a bit wierd really. I’m just glad I didn’t say anything too embarassing (well, i’m sure i did, but thankfully not printed…)
how did i missed this! congrats Pete! you’re on your way to get a street in Davis named after you! did you screengrab the article online or scan the paper version? i’d love to see it!
cheers! i’ll try to get it up, shame the link no longer goes anywhere you can see it. It does mention urban sketchers too.
