Summer’s not finished with us yet, though the Fall presses its nose against the window and demands an earlier opening time. It was over a hundred degrees again on 9-11, and I took a lunchbreak from the busy-ness and drew the outside of work, and not for the first time. Purple Micron. The Math Science Building. I still, even after four years in America, feel funny calling it ‘Math’. To me, and other UKsiders, it’s ‘Maths’, or more properly ‘Maffs’.

Thanks again Pete. This might at first appear simple, but it’s outstanding on many levels. The colour appears to work so well, that I experience this as ‘a full meal artwork’. The zest of a sketch that took Cezanne a lifetime to achieve in his late zen-like watercolours. Perhaps its the pace of one’s instinct.
thank you!
Not only do I love your style of drawing, I love the Englishness of your comments. As a fellow Brit expat, I laughed with fondness at the thought of “Maffs”.
cheers! i’m trying to retain my britishness, but my wife tol me i said ‘re-peat’ instead of repeat’ the other day…
