pessi-mystic pete

You may have wondered what has happened to Mystic Pete this new football year. Well, my sources tell me he is taking some time off from his uncanny prognosticising to spend more time in the garden, predicting rain and such forth (which may explain the drought we’ve had). He did mumble something about Rafael Benitez being the first managerial sacking, but even that was half-hearted. (Oh, I just noticed “arsenal to win shit” in the message above, it means “arsenal to win shit”, not “arsenal to win shit“. This being a message from Mystic Pete hopefully means arsenal will win shit. But that’s Opti-Mystic Pete, and he’s not in the building).

For those unfamiliar with Mystic Pete, he’s the guy who predicted France would win Euro 2008.

This is probably not the best moment for me to show my face around here, but boy was I relieved, we really needed some points at the start this year. I’m a bit mixed about our new signings though, we’re headed on the way of the bigger clubs, buying foreign mercenaries. I want to win, but at the same time it feels a bit innocence lost.

I’m not a footie fan but I if I had to say I support any team it would be Spurs, ‘cos they are my ‘home’ team. I grew up in Cheshunt, just around the corner from their training ground and spent the Summer holidays collecting autographs, watching them train and attending open days.
There is a huge housing estate where their ground used to be now and Brookfield Farm shopping centre just up the road from it…I remember when it was all countryside and Spurs used to WIN!
    The good ole days!

sunderland, buying several spurs players, you can have chimbonda, tainio was underused, but malbranque, now that’s a player i’m sad to lose.
The old cheshunt ground, i remember those days; then they moved to mill hill, to the copthall ground, right near where i grew up, i remember going up and seeing gazza when he first signed, and then years later going over to meet klinsmann on his first day at spurs.
