put the book back on the shelf

8, library books

#8 in a series of 30. The way I’ve put it makes it sound like a fetish or something. I’m just lazy. I have good intentions, but instead of reading them I stay up and draw the edge of the table, or whatever. Still, it’s the hope of reading them that counts, and hope is the main buzzword in this brave new world, isn’t it? Perhaps I hope they’ll read themselves to me.

Still no name for this deeply personal autobiographical series.

Well perhaps it’s a London thing too – I live there and I do the same thing. Currently it’s Adobe Illustrator CS2 for PC and Macintosh, and I’ve had it for about four months and the fine is now over £5. I’ve never even opened it. I think it’s an illness.

SNAP! Well close. The book I have out (and have paid late fines on before) is also about Illustrator, the Illustrator Wow Book. I swear, it must be an Illustrator thing!

I do this too. I do often start said books….but never give them enough time reading them to get into them, merely ten minute snatches which usually end with my falling asleep into them, which in turn means that when I come back to them i pretty much have to read what i’d already read.
